Almond Beach Village is located on the West Coast of Barbados 30 minutes from Bridgetown the island's capital and 45 minutes from the airport.

The resort occupies 32 acres of lush tropical gardens. A former sugar plantation, the sugar mill adds a touch of history to the village. With over a mile of white sand beach and a host of complimentary activities on hand there's something for all the family.

Each of the 395 air conditioned rooms are furnished to a high standard with dining sets, mahogany stained furniture, tiled floors, floral fabrics and either one king or two twin beds. Larger parties are catered for on rollaway or sofa beds. All rooms have either a patio, balcony or French balcony.

Almond Beach Village has three freshwater swimming pools to cool off in, a great array of watersports including Hobie Cats, snorkelling, waterskiing, windsurfing, aqua cycles, kayaks, fishing and banana boats. For those of you wishing to keep your feet firmly on the ground try the nine-hole, par-three golf course or tennis courts, alternatively just relax at the on-site mini spa for massages and manicures. (Full spa services available at the Almond Beach Club & Spa 15 minutes away.)

There's a great choice of restaurants to chose from at the resort, three at the nearby Almond Beach Club & Spa (over 16 years only) and three at Almond Casuarina Beach. Snacks are available throughout the day at the beach grill and room service is offered for lunch and dinner. In addition the resort has five bars including Tommy's Bar - a true Bajan rum shop, the weekly Manager's cocktail party and the nightly entertainment with live music and shows are engagements not to be missed. For those who want to dance into the early hours Rachel's Nightclub will keep you entertained. A complimentary shuttle runs between the other Almond resorts on Barbados.

The resort has it's own children's programme designed to provide educational fun to children of all ages. A full service nursery offers indoor and outdoor activities for children under 2. The Kid's Club caters for 3 to 12 year olds with beach and pool activities, lessons in local dance, culture and music, videos and computer games while the teenagers can enjoy movies, watersports and disco nights.  With all these ongoing activities you may even find time to indulge a little in the spa or enjoy a late night dinner for two.
