The all inclusve Almond Beach Club & Spa is located in St. James on the west coast of Barbados and just 20 minutes from the island's capital, Bridgetown and 30 minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport. The resort itself is nestled amongst five acres of lush, tropical gardens with exotic trees and vibrant flowers. This adult only resort (guests 16 years and older) boasts great sea views and offers a complimentary shuttle to Almond Beach Village and Almond Casuarina Beach.
Comprising 161 rooms in seven categories, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to accommodation. The air conditioned rooms are set in the tropical gardens, around the pools and near the lounges and restaurants there's a room to suit every preference. All have tea and coffee making facilities, safety deposit boxes, satellite TV, telephone and beach towels as standard and, with the exception of Standard and Deluxe Oceanview rooms, have balconies, French balconies or patios.
Almond Beach Club & Spa has a choice of three restaurants plus the option of dining at Almond Beach Village and Almond Casuarina Beach. Sunset is the resort's main restaurant which serves a buffet style breakfast and a full lunch with a choice of buffet or continental cuisine from the a la carte menu. A British-style high-tea is served every afternoon from 3.00pm to 4.30pm with sweet and savoury pastries, scones and sandwiches and of course a great selection of tea. Enid's is open in the evening for classic Bajan cuisine in a colourful festival atmosphere while the new Water's Edge restaurant is great for fresh seafood in a fine dining setting under the stars. Water's edge is open for dinner only, subject to weather conditions. Room service is available for lunch or dinner and reservations are required in all restaurants for dinner.
The resort has a great variety of activities on site for guests to enjoy - three freshwater swimming pools, freshwater Jacuzzi, tennis (with courts lit for night play), Hobi Cat sailing, snorkelling, waterskiing, fishing, aqua cycles, kayaks and banana boats, if all this gets too much just relax at the luxurious spa with a full range of treatments and services including massages, facials and herbal treatment menu.
