On the southern coast near Scarborough, the island's capital, Blue Haven Hotel is situated on a bluff with superb views of the ocean and Bacolet Bay but in close proximity to many of Tobago's attractions.
The natural beauty of tobago combines the charm and scenic splendour with unspoilt beaches, coral reefs, fort ruins, rain forest, waterfalls and an abundance of exotic flowers.
This stylish hotel originally opened it's doors in the 1940s and was once a fashionable retreat for Hollywood stars - regular guests included Rita Heyworth and Robert Mitchum. The hotel has recently been extensively refurbished, restoring the colonial style main building to it's grandeur and adding new pavilion style rooms in the grounds.
Breakfast and dinner are served in the hotel's restaurant 'Shutters on the Bay' in the main building, or the terrace outside, whilst a barbecue lunch is available at the No Problem beach bar. Facilities include a swimming pool and terrace with glorious view, fitness area (massages available) and tennis court. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
