An intimate designer hotel comprising a handful of cottages tucked into the hillside above a pretty bay. Italian owner Bernardo Bertucci's mission is to create the perfect romantic hidewaway, where the emphasis is on total rest and relaxation in this very laid back atmosphere.
The 16 detached cottages, each with private plunge pools, are spread out amongst 10 acres of landscaped grounds, strategically positioned to maximise the ocean views and fabulous sunsets.
Polished concrete floors, dramatic teak furnishings and a large bedroom, complete with white Indonesian cotton draped four poster, create a simple yet modernistic environment. The cleverly designed open air bathrooms contain a specially crafted shower, facilitating bathing in the beauty of the tropics. Exclusive Italian bath products are of course on hand, as attention to detail is the essence of this hotel.
The restaurant and bar are contained in a variety of low thatched roofed buildings on the waterfront, overlooking the pool and beach. The Sunset bar is comfortably furnished with daybeds and sofas - a perfect spot for a sundowner; whilst the restaurant, which is open to the public, serves a delicious range of local seafood and Continental specialities.
The wine list includes a variety of exclusive Italian wines from undiscovered vineyards. Complimentary watersports include hobie cat sailing, kayaking and snorkel equipment. The hotel can also arrange golf, tennis, fishing and diving, at a local charge.
