Caribbean Holidays : Holidays in The Grenadines

- Young Island – St Vincent
The Grenadines, the southern end of the Windward Islands, is a beautiful chain of islands stretching some 50 miles from Grenada in the south to St Vincent in the north.
The islands are conveniently spaced apart so no passage between them is more than 5 hours sailing time. On the leeward Caribbean side, yachtsman will find many fine anchorages with coral white sand.
Sailing conditions in the area are just perfect. The north easterly tradewinds, usually force 2 4, are reliably constant and comfortable, although they are less predictable in the late summer August to October. They can occasionally reach force 5 or more in winter.
The area of the Grenadines provides excellent offshore sailing, with sometimes fast and exhilarating passages between the islands, and equally enjoyable, yet calmer and more relaxed sailing cruising along the leeward side of the islands.
We have two yacht charter locations in the Grenadines, one based in St Vincent, at the northern tip of the Grenadines, and another based at the True Blue Marina, Grenada, just 10 minutes from the airport.
